Warranty Information
Provided that Client performs its obligations to TECMO under these Terms and Conditions, TECMO warrants to Client that the Services performed by TECMO will be performed consistent with generally accepted industry practice.
Warranty is only valid if TECMO system is installed by a qualified/ certified TECMO Technician.
TECMO warranty will be null and void, unless the TECMO on-site sign-off document is completed and signed and returned to TECMO. TECMO acceptance of site commissioning, and therefore the warranty will be based upon the appraisal of the qualifications of the commissioning party.
All TECMO equipment contains a 6-month walk-in warranty period from PO, excluding malicious damages, theft, Acts of God, Power Surges, riots, strikes and Force Majeure. (Walk-In). All commercial buyout equipment (not manufactured by TECMO) such as flow meters, valves and ATG/ level sensors will have their own manufacturer warranty. This may differ from product to product or supplier to supplier. Buyout equipment is not covered by the TECMO warranty.
The Client is responsible for the power supply to the TECMO equipment. The Client should consider surge protection to ensure safeguarding due to Eskom’s poor and unstable power quality for all TECMO equipment.
All warranties are based on a ‘walk-in’ principle. The cost to pick up or deliver any guarantee is for the Clients’ responsibility. Any upgrades or service labour and component costs are for the service providers account (all courier and transport costs).
All warranty repairs will be done under warranty. Non-warranty item repairs will only commence once TECMO receives a PO from the Client.
All TECMO equipment still under the warranty period will be repaired by TECMO at no cost unless malicious damages, theft, Acts of God, Power Surges and Force Majeure occurred. (Excluding courier and transport costs. Client responsibility).
All warranty repairs relating to internal/ manufacturing fault carry a 1 x month walk-in warranty from date of purchase. Only applicable to the original fault identified.
Replacement of any faulty equipment is purely at the discretion of TECMO and not that of the Client. Warranty will be dependent on the cause of the fault.
Any tampering with equipment will result in the warranty being revoked. This includes, but is not limited to, opening of boxes, exchanging SIM cards and replacing components.
TECMO is responsible for providing SIM cards inside RSA. Outside RSA, client must provide internet or network. TECMO is not responsible for the Client’s poor/weak internet connections.
Walk-in warranty – client is responsible to ship/ courier/ post the equipment to TECMO. TECMO will ship/ courier /post a replacement unit. TECMO is not responsible for any stolen, lost or damaged parcels of goods in transit by a courier.
The client has a 14x day period from installation date where TECMO (will rectify installation issues such as loose wires, faulty connections, poor FMS or ATG installation, etc.
Please note, these items must be identified and placed on the sign-off document otherwise they will be null and void.
TECMO will arrange with the client a reasonable date and time to complete/ rectify the issues.
